My ideas

posted Jul 25, 2012 02:34:10 by JonathonYu
I've just barely begun working on what I hope will be a worthy segment in the novel, but beyond just working on the story arc myself I'm thinking of connecting it with someone else's if anyone's up for it.
I recall several people mentioning at the first meeting that they were interested in writing mysteries. Well, I'm interested in writing from the perspective of a criminal, nearly a terrorist really. If someone would want to write their story from the perspective of someone trying to unravel the path to this agent of chaos, it'd be fun working with you to write a story arc like that from both angles.

Oh my gosh; I'd definitely be interested. I think Jennifer is considering writing a mystery as well-- perhaps the three of us (or anyone else who'd consider it?) could get together and compare notes? With a "hero and bad guy" type of mystery, there's so many many directions that one can take with it, that creating different perspectives shouldn't be a problem at all. Let's collaborate!

That sounds great. Next time we meet we can start hammering out the details, and I can show you the tiny bits I've gotten written as well.

Sounds like a plan! I feel like the more crossovers we do in this project, the better it's going to turn out. If there was a way for us to (subtly) connect everyone's story in some form, that would be ideal. I can't wait to see what the others come up with!

I have also written a very brief history of the planet and kind a foreshadowing of the bigger plot line within that history. We can start discussing those details too and some incorporation of that idea into your writings.
